South African Cotton Company Estimates 2010-11 Cotton Production Estimates

In the 2010-11 cotton season, South Africa will produce 101,148 bales of cotton, down 3% from the previous month's estimate, South African Cotton said.

This latest forecast will mean that South Africa’s cotton has doubled over the previous cotton season, the first increase in seven years, South African Cotton said.

This estimate expects that Swaziland’s cotton production will reach 4,000 bales.
