According to foreign media reports, the world's notorious Chinese "jewel thief" Meng Jianguo (transliteration) was recently arrested in Switzerland. Meng Jianguo was accused of manipulating the Jewels Theft Group. Since the previous year, he has swept through nine countries in Europe and Asia and has committed as many as 14 cases. He is suspected of stealing millions of dollars worth of diamonds and reselling stolen goods to China and Russia.

However, after Meng Jianguo was released from prison, he returned to the rivers and lakes and stole a diamond ring worth $1.5 million in Bahrain. The country asked the Interpol to be included in the "red bulletin" list.

Interpol will later share the relevant crimes of Meng Jianguo with the police and jewelry industry in various countries, and hope to be more vigilant. Unexpectedly, Meng Jianguo took the test on August 28 this year and suspected that he would enter the three jewelry stores on the famous station street in Zurich, Switzerland. In the second store, some staff members recognized Meng Jianguo and secretly reported to the police. Because Meng Jianguo did not know his identity, he was finally detained in the third store with his party.

At present, Meng Jianguo is waiting for extradition to Bahrain to face prosecution, while the same party is released due to insufficient evidence.
