Three levels of jade and jade identification

People's hobby of jade and jade is not only because it is a crystal clear, colorful and pleasing jewel. Because jade has a wealth effect, it is a hard currency and has a great potential for appreciation. In gemology, people divide it into two broad categories: jade and narrow jade.

Jade jade

In the narrow sense, there are only two kinds of jade, namely jadeite (also called jadeite) and nephrite, which are different in color: white jade, white jade, jasper, jade, others such as agate, card, jade, turquoise , lapis lazuli, etc. are all ordinary jade. And most importantly, there are three levels of jade identification problems in the purchase of jade and nephrite.

Be aware that there are a large number of counterfeits that look like jade and nephrite in today's market. Some of them are material compositions that are completely different from jade and nephrite, but the appearance has some similar natural substitutes, such as Aussie, Sodium feldspar jade (commonly known as water foam), Ulan Cui Mayu, etc. Etc.; can be used to pretend white jade, white jade, white abalone, white marble and so on. Although these alternatives are very similar in appearance to the real ones, they also have their own value, but because their quality is not as good as the real one, or because their production in the natural world is relatively rich, they cannot be compared with the real thing in the market price. Buying it back as natural jade or white jade is naturally a loss. Some of the counterfeits are completely artificially imitation, such as imitation of green jade to pretend to be jade.

The so-called "B goods jade and C goods jade", these two jadeite materials are real natural jade, but its original material is relatively poor, in order to improve its ornamental and decorative, people have made different The degree of beautification. Among them, B-Jade is a kind of jadeite with low transparency and dark color, which is cleaned with strong acid, so that some impurities are washed away, so as to improve transparency and make the color more beautiful.

However, in this way, the strength of the jade is damaged, and it is necessary to inject the resin curing agent into the jade under vacuum to increase its strength. Therefore, B goods are actually pickled and glued with jade. Although this kind of jade has very good ornamental and decorative properties, its strength is damaged and it has imperfections, so it is naturally not comparable in price to the truly completely natural A-carved jade.

6C goods jade is a lower-grade jade, it does not have a beautiful color, and now the color is artificially dyed, so it has a lower price. White jade is simpler than jade on this issue. It is common to give it a partial sugar color (a brownish brown sugar) to pretend to be a higher price jade.

The quality of jade quality is a more complex subject, involving several evaluation factors. The first is the color. For the jade, the pure emerald green is better. The green is closer to the requirements of thick, positive, positive and uniform, and the value is higher, while the white jade is better with white as the sheep fat. In addition, it depends on whether their brightness is good or not; whether the texture structure is dense and delicate; whether there are impurities and cracks, and the size of these impurities and cracks, the degree of their damage; depends on their block size; The workmanship is good, is it from the hands of famous people, is it the cultural relics left over from ancient times, and so on. Due to the differences in these factors, two identically sized fully natural jade or white jade will be very different in price.

In fact, the best way to avoid being deceived is that when you purchase jade, you are required to provide an authoritative certificate for the jade. If not, you should ask him to clearly and in detail clearly indicate in the invoice the correct name of the item purchased. In this way, after you purchase, if you ask the appraisal department to conduct the appraisal and find that it does not match the name of the purchased product, you can return the claim to the merchant. If the invoice is ambiguous, such as the word "jade" written in general, then even if you identify it is not the natural A jade or white jade you want to buy, but the B or C jade, or even jade or Other jade, merchants will also plausibly say that he did not deceive you, because the goods are indeed jade made of jade, then you have to eat dumb loss.
