The duration of a painting in the West in the collection field lasted for 29 years, but in Mainland China it took less than two years. What effect does this phenomenon have on the oil painting market?

Ping Jie: China's oil painting market has a short holding period. Some works are shot again in autumn after the fall and the high turnover rate means that there is a market price manipulation. It also shows that collectors have fewer ingredients and speculators have more ingredients. There are also prospects for collectors who do not see the market. They do not have the bottom and do not dare to hold it for a long time.

Shanghai Securities News: In the past, early oil paintings had a low degree of attention in the mainland market, and the prices of oil paintings continued to rise this year. What does this phenomenon mean?

Ping Jie: There are limited stocks of early oil paintings and their historical values ​​are irreplaceable. Compared with contemporary oil paintings, early oil paintings have a low price and are at a low value. In addition, a large amount of hot money in the market needs to be released, and the relative value of early oil paintings is relatively stable.

Ping Jie: Because the oil painting auction system is not yet mature, buyers have limited vision and are not professional enough. They generally favor realistic and realistic writings. Because of this phenomenon, the oil painting market is not balanced. We also need some time to improve the quality of collectors' oil paintings in different styles.
