Guangxi Silkworm Standardization Technical Committee established

The Bureau of Quality Supervision of the Autonomous Region issued a document on July 6, 2011 to approve the establishment of the Guangxi Silkworm Squid Commission. On June 27, 2012, the document was issued in agreement that the Guangxi Silkworm Squid Commission was formally established and the Secretariat was established at the Liuzhou City Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute. Experts and authoritative figures from various research institutes, technical institutions, and leading enterprises of the silkworm industry in the region, the Standards Committee has a total of 30 members. At present, the Standardization Committee has applied for the approval of the autonomous region's Bureau of Quality Supervision, which has been approved by the Bureau of Quality Supervision.

It is understood that during the “12th Five-Year Plan” period, Liuzhou will vigorously develop a standardized mulberry silk industry and strive to reach the end of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period. The mulberry area will reach 33,300 hectares, and the output of fresh maggots will be 50,000 tons. The farmer’s sold-out income will be 12 Billion, the city's annual production of 5,000 tons of silk, the output value of 1.5 billion yuan, silk processing and comprehensive utilization of 2.3 billion yuan in output value.

The establishment of the Guangxi Silkworm Industry Standardization Technical Committee (hereinafter referred to as the “Standardization Committee”) and the opening ceremony were held recently in the Yanghe Industrial New District of Liuzhou City. This indicates that Guangxi, especially the Liuzhou City Silkworm Industry Chain, will start with the construction of technical standardization. In order to further enhance the technical core competitiveness of the silkworm industry, it provides a strong organizational guarantee.
